Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me why they put the road crews out during morning traffic rather than say, later in the day, or at night perhaps? Well, enough of my traffic travails. I don't want to hold you up, so here is your latest serving of ideas. Enjoy! Send your feedback directly to me at: khuston@asicentral.com. It may be published in a future issue of Advantages magazine. For free information on products featured in Advantages, click here: www.advantagesinfo.com.

Take the Subway
The Pitch: If you're looking for a unique umbrella for city folks, Rainkist Umbrella Co. (asi/80490) has just the thing: the subway system automatic open umbrella with routes from New York City's subway system. Chicago is available too, so ask the supplier. It features a steel, wind-resistant frame and pinch-proof runner to protect fingers. It's made of nylon and measures 12" folded with a 43" arc. This is perfect for busy commuters. Pricing starts at: 36; $17.50-R. Click here: http://www.rainkist.com/.
The Bottom Line: Ride the rails.

Summer Fave
The Pitch: Hey! Happy first day of summer! In fact, I changed my ringtone to "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley. Take a listen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaGUr6wzyT8. Nothing says summer like Marley music ... and iced tea. Mid-Nite Snax (asi/71685) offers single-serve iced tea mix packets, which would be the perfect giveaway for the hot summer season. They come in silver, gold or white packs. Price includes a one-color direct imprint or four-color-process label. Simply send the supplier your artwork or put your logo on a stock design. Pricing starts at: 250; $0.88-R. Check them out here: http://www.midnitesnax.com/.
The Bottom Line: Refreshing beverage.

Cereal Solution
The Pitch: I just read about a San Diego County Fair debuting deep-fried cereal. Isn't that kind of defeating the purpose? If you're looking for a healthier alternative to snack cravings, particularly at trade shows, conventions and other such events, Global Sweet Treats (asi/57606) offers custom-wrapped Nutri-Grain cereal bars, which are made with real fruit and whole grains. The supplier overwraps the Kellogg's bar with a foil, then applies your custom full-color wrappers. Pricing starts at: 100; $1-R. For more info on item NGB, email: sales@arizonasweets.com.
The Bottom Line: On-the-go energizer.

Worldly Reward
The Pitch: I just found out that Advantages has won two awards from the American Society of Professional Business Editors (ASPBE). Happy start to summer! When it comes to awards, I'm partial to those that also serve a practical purpose. Logomark (asi/67866) offers one that's a world time desk clock with a world map dial, rotating multi-city bezel and crystal base.It spins on the base and would be perfect for anyone who's a global star. Pricing starts at: 12; $42.45-R. See it here: http://www.logomark.com/.
The Bottom Line: Spin this into a sale.
