Canada Sportswear Acquires Ecorite
Canada Sportswear Corp. (asi/43682) has acquired the assets of Ecorite (asi/51654). While Ecorite's contact information will remain the same, all inventory, employees and decorating capabilities have been moved to the Canada Sportswear facility at 230 Barmac Drive in Toronto.

"The synergy of our two organizations will be able to deliver a wider assortment of product offerings that helps organizations build brand equity through our loyal distributor network," said Ralph and Howie Goldfinger, co-CEOs of Canada Sportswear, in a joint statement. "The consolidation is a long-term strategic initiative which will deliver innovations for tomorrow. We will combine the best of both organizations under one roof."

Additionally, Brij Kapur, who has over 20 years of direct, hands-on industry experience, will act as an ongoing consultant associated with Canada Sportswear to help ensure both a smooth transition and the consistency of the Ecorite family of products available in the marketplace. Talbot Acquires Novack Uniform Solutions
Ontario-based Talbot Marketing (asi/341500) has announced it has purchased the assets of Novack Uniform Solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. "Workwear and uniforms has been a segment of the market growing for us in past years, so we identified this move as a real opportunity," Steve Levschuk, president of Talbot, told Counselor. "When we learned of the Novack opportunity, we went after it pretty aggressively."

Founded in 2004 by Paul Caplan and his wife Sandi, Novack Uniform Solutions does business both in Canada and internationally. It mainly has served customers in the security, medical, hospitality and industrial markets. According to Levschuk, Novack's staff moved over to Talbot's location last week.

"All of us are excited to join the Talbot family," said Paul Caplan. "Talbot has a long history of supporting customers with quality products, a dedicated professional sales team and exceptional service with reliable technology that will ensure both a smooth transition for our existing customers and tremendous opportunities for future growth."

Full Line Acquires R&R Promo
Canadian distributor Full Line Specialties (asi/199688) has finalized an asset-based acquisition of fellow Canadian distributor R&R Promo. Financial terms of the deal were not released, but Full Line expects the transaction to help grow its share of the promotional products market in Canada.

"Merging R&R into Full Line will provide both parties with additional resources to further penetrate existing and new key accounts regionally, as well as roll out some of our unique offerings nationally across Canada," said Sam Singh, president and CEO of Full Line Specialties. "R&R was a truly unique group of professionals with a passion for executing long-term strategic customer growth."

As part of the deal, Singh also said that Full Line is welcoming Wayne King, former sales manager of R&R Promo, to the Full Line staff. "After sitting with the Full Line team," King said, "it was clear that the level of professionalism and systematic procedures in place were all designed for customer satisfaction and market growth, which is something I look forward to sharing with our clients."

Proforma Regional Meeting Series Heads to Toronto
Proforma (asi/300094) announces that its 2015 "Play to Win" Regional Meeting series, which was recently held in Las Vegas, Cleveland and Chicago, will continue on to Toronto, Dallas, Providence and Orlando from now through February 19.
